Silk Road Mosaic Box
One of a kind
Made by hand in a family workshop in Damascus.
This rectangular vintage box dates from 1970. The lid shows two camels led by a Bedouin riding a donkey, with a date palm beside them, all inlaid in mother-of-pearl on eucalyptus, walnut, rose, beech, lemon and yellow pine woods.
Inside, a wine-red velvet lining holds jewelry and keepsakes. It suits everyday use or display.

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight, radiators and humidity. No polish or chemicals needed: the natural wax finish protects the wood and mother-of-pearl for many years.
