Made by hand in Damascus by the Al-Halabi family workshop.
This octagonal box is built from walnut, beechwood, rosewood, lemon wood and eucalyptus. Small pieces of wood are cut and fitted together by hand into one mosaic, and mother-of-pearl is set into it so the pattern catches the light as you turn the box.
Inside, a wine-red velvet lining holds jewelry and keepsakes safely. It is a piece for everyday use or display.
