Made by hand in Damascus by the Al-Halabi family workshop.
Mu'ashak (معشّق) is the Damascene name for work where small cut pieces of mother-of-pearl are fitted by hand, one beside the next, over a wooden core. On this square box the ground is mainly white mother-of-pearl, and a design in other colored mother-of-pearl is worked across it.
The beechwood frame is lined inside with brocade. It holds jewelry and keepsakes safely.

Care Instructions
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from direct sunlight, radiators and humidity. No polish or chemicals needed: the natural wax finish protects the wood and mother-of-pearl for many years.
