Made by hand in Damascus by the Al-Basha family workshop.
This rectangular Damascene mosaic box is made with traditional mosaic techniques from walnut, beechwood, rosewood, lemon wood and eucalyptus. Every small mosaic element is cut and assembled by hand into a geometric pattern. The natural tones of the five woods give the surface its warm, layered look.
Inside, a wine-red velvet lining holds jewelry and keepsakes. It is made for everyday use or display.
